D-Arts Pokemon Venusaur

Like the previous figure, Bandai's D-Arts series is releasing Pokemon figure- Venusaur.  The figure will comes with different articulation points fro Venusaur to do different poses.  The figure is set to release in August, and will be 3,800 yen- about $40.

Venusaur is the final evolve form of Bulbasaur, who's also my favorite Pokemon.  It's good to see Bandai's releasing these figures, and it's currently unknown if there will be more figures releasing in the future.

Monday Rants- Pokemon Adventure

Pokemon Adventure, or Pokemon Special in Japan is an on-going manga series published by Shogakukan.  This series is considered the flagship title among all the Pokemon manga series due to its faithfulness to the video game series.  Even Pokemon creator Satoshi Tajiri states that the the comic is most resemble to the world he was trying to convey.  I feel the same way too, and this is easily the only Pokemon media I like.

New Eeveelution Revealed!

Update 2-15-2013: It is revealed yesterday that the English name for Ninfia will be Sylveon.  Can someone break down the roots of the name for me?

***

CoroCoro Magazine just revealed the newest Eeveelution for Pokemon X&Y to be Ninfia.  As of now, it's unknown what type this Pokemon is, and the method of evolution.  Fans online are guessing that it might be a Bug type due to the ribbon looks like a butterfly.  Also, a Flying type due to its design similar to Skyla, the Flying-type Gym leader from Pokemon Black and White.  Or it can be a brand-new type that's going to introduce in the newest generation.

Let me know what you think about this newest Eveelution!

Pokemon TV app Announced and Reviews

A new app is now available for iOS devices called Pokemon TV.  This app allows you to watch free Pokemon episodes.  While there are only about 50 episodes now, the app promises to update weekly to include more episodes from the 15 seasons run off the show- which are over 700 episodes.

Also from February 15-18, the app will feature the newest movie Kyurem vs. The Sword of Justice.  Which is great, because I've been meaning to review the movie so this will be a great opportunity.  Also, on February 15, the app will also have the short Meloetta's Moonlight Serenade.  What a great way to catch up on missed Pokemon episodes.

I tried the app on my iPad already, and I have to say that I'm really impressed by it.  The quality of the video is excellent, and the loading time is super fast.  Interface is really friendly as well.  I can't wait for the app to have a more complete collection so I can have a Pokemon marathon from the beginning to the end.

Score: 8.8/10

Pokemon Generation VI Announced!

Nintendo just announced generation 6 Pokemon games- Pokemon X and Pokemon Y (chromosomes, Coldplay album?) for Nintendo 3DS.
This will be the first time that the main title Pokemon game will be in 3D- something that every Pokemon fans been looking forward to.  These games have top notch 3D graphic, beautiful 3D environment  and brand new battle animations.
The video above also shows the new starter Pokemons for this generation: grass-type Chespin, fire-type Fennekin and water-type Froakie.  This is the first time that I don't find any of the starter Pokemons cute, sadly.

There's also 2 legendary Pokemons in this video.  A X shaped deer, and a Y shaped bird.
The video also states that this will be the first time that Pokemon games will be release to the whole world at the same time, in October 2013.
Can't wait  :)
